There is Hope Vocational skills Coordinator, Ivy Jere, has expressed the organization’s commitment in contribution to the environment conservation efforts in order to prepare Malawi for any future disaster.
She made the remarks at Ndunje Secondary School during a hand over ceremony of tree planting seedlings to youths clubs in Dowa District.
Speaking to Yetu FM, Jere acknowledged that youths in the district can contribute to environmental conservation, hence the needs of the initiative.
Dowa District Forestry Officer, Benjamin Kanyenda has appealed to stakeholders to sensitive communities around the district to embrace tree planting culture to enable the district to be a disaster prone area.
Meanwhile, Dalisto Lemani, from kachibwe village in the area of traditional authority Msakambewa encouraged youths in the district to sustain the tree seedlings by taking proper care for them alleging that they are doing that for future generation.
Yetu FM understands that There is Hope donated more than 500 tree seedlings to 3 youths clubs such as Kachibwe youth club and DAPP youth club just to mention but a few.
